Care plan FAQ
Is the care plan compulsory?
No, it's optional. The £200 build is yours either way. If you don't take the care plan, you'll get a zip of the site files and instructions to host it wherever you like (you'll be paying ~£5–15/mo for hosting elsewhere — minus all the other things the care plan covers).
What counts as "small tweaks"?
Text changes, photo swaps, opening-hours updates, adding a new service, swapping a phone number, fixing a typo, adding a Google Maps embed, adding a new social link. Up to about 30 minutes a month total — and unused time doesn't roll over. Bigger things (new pages, new sections, ecommerce bolt-ons) are quoted upfront, fair and direct.
What if I want to leave?
Click "cancel" in the Stripe email — it's one click. The next month doesn't charge. I'll email you a zip of the site files within 1 working day, plus instructions for hosting it yourself (or with another developer). No lock-in, no exit fee, no "we own the design" agency nonsense.
Does this mean you'll keep doing SEO for me?
Technical SEO yes — clean structure, fast pages, schema, sitemap, Search Console health, Google Business Profile. Quarterly I send you a report. Ongoing content SEO (writing new pages, building backlinks, ranking for specific competitive terms) is a separate engagement — if you want that, message me and I'll quote it.
Why £25/mo and not free?
The £200 covers building the site. The £25/mo covers the things that recur — hosting bills, monitoring infrastructure, my time when you message me, backups storage. At £25/mo it pays for itself the first time something breaks at 3am and you don't have to deal with it.
I already have hosting. Can I just have your support without the hosting?
Yes — message me. There's a "support-only" version for sites already hosted elsewhere. You'll lose the speed and uptime guarantees (because I'm not on the hosting), but the tweaks-and-WhatsApp-support side still works. Roughly £15/mo.
